Mantech Electronics

Postby DanZ » Thu Aug 16, 2012 12:12 am

One place I have found pretty useful for various bits and pieces is Mantech Electronics http://www.mantech.co.za/ I have bought quite a few things from them from soldering irons and silicone wire to nylon spacers and even a replacement switch for my radio! (which I never though I would manage to find locally in a million years) Their site is a bit tedious sometimes to locate what your looking for, I have sometimes found it easier to just email them. Hope this helps.

I frequent mantech only when I have to. Their sales staff make me spit blood! lol
Their site is the pinnacle of efficiency compared to most of the sales people there!

Much safer to buy from them online :)

Oh, and for anything that Mantech dont have, RADIO SHACK do!

However, its not technically called Radio Shack. Its called RS Components

What i think would be a good idea is ill create a sticky that will stay at the top of this section with a list of all the places we all find useful.

Yes, Mantech Durban's sales staff are always helpful and mostly friendly.
DanZ, next time you're there ask them for a free catalogue. Most of their products are in it with photos and specs, and makes searching much easier than on their site. They also allow you in the storeroom if they're not too busy, and you tend to spot things you didn't know you want/need.

Another option close to Mantech is A1 Radio.
